Pan Optikum

UK Creative Producer –  International Youth Project 2015 – 2018

I am managing the delivery in the UK of a 3 year Pan European Youth Performance Project supported by Creative Europe. There are 12 partners from 8 countries (incl Spain, Poland, Romania & Sweden) I have supported the artistic development of the project, the completion of the funding application to the European Commission.  This project is also part of Call to Create at the Roundhouse in London.

Ivory Worldwide

Ivory are a creative experience agency that provide integrated communications and innovative experiences for clients. I worked with the company to develop the Youth Arts element of a tender for a large scale event in Dubai.  My work included commissioning a contemporary choreographer  to work with Emirati school children to create a short dance piece inspired by traditional Arabic Folk Dance and collaborating with Art Dubai to identify a visual artist specialising in projection and installation work. This artist will, as part of the Art Dubai residencies programme, become resident in a local school for a number of weeks developing an installation piece for this project.

I worked with the Creative Foundation from June 2012 to November 2013. I developed a new vision for Quarterhouse alongside a new business plan and successfully fundraised to make the vision a reality. I also managed and programmed the venue during this time. I appointed a new team in November 2013.

Blink Margate

The sweeping breadth and ambition of the project is impressive…As a community focused spectacle of huge proportions Blink Margate cannot be faulted in terms of engagement, inclusion and sheer awe of scale.
Total Theatre

I was Creative Producer on a large scale event on Margate seafront working with multi-award-winning choreographer Wayne McGregor and his internationally renowned company Random Dance, extraordinary German theatre ensemble Pan Optikum and innovative soundscape artist, Scanner. The event attracted an audience of 20,000 people.

I was overall responsible for the successful delivery of this 2 yr project managing: Artistic development, Fundraising, Marketing, Technical Production, Creative Learning & participation Programme, Budget, Contracting and Evaluation.

Stratford Rising

Stratford Cultural Forum (SCF) was a network of Stratford based organisations with an interest in the arts; including arts-related programming, education, training and development. Over a period of 18 months I worked with the forum and developed the concept that launched Stratford Rising. The Objectives are to: support the growth of Stratford’s cultural sector, build the reputation of Stratford as an exciting London cultural centre, bring our experience and expertise to support the regeneration of Stratford. Brighton Festival

Commissioned and co-produced a range of new work from national and international artists and companies. Programmed & produced the annual Brighton Festival a 23 day multi art form Festival which attracts up to 400,000 attendances annually.

Managed the programming and production team and programmed theatre, dance & out-door performance.  Managed the festival event budget of £1.2 million. Also part of the Executive Management team running the Brighton Dome.
